Tsingtao and Nestle establish strategic cooperation

Tsingtao Brewery Group and international food and beverage giant Nestle announced on Aug 28 to signed strategic cooperation on healthy drinking water, which allows Tsingtao to purchase Nestle’s drinking water business in China.


    


The deal covers the exclusive licensing of Nestle Pure Life in the Chinese mainland and the ownership of Pure Life, Dashan and Yun Nan Shan Quan brands, as well as shares in Nestle’s three drinking water companies in Shanghai, Tianjin and Kunming.


    


As a internationally renowned beer brand, Tsingtao has entered the markets in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. In recent years, the company put forward high-quality, leapfrog development strategy by better integrating its resources. It has planned three sectors -- joy, health and fashion -- to create an ecosystem in which the beer sector and other product can complement each other.

    


In the health sector, the company has a product portfolio consisting of sodas, mineral waters and healthy drinks, ready to promote the development of the business and become a leader in the beverage and drinking water industry.


    


The two companies said that under the strategic cooperation they will complement each other and share resources. They are committed to providing consumers with improved products and services as well as new experiences for better lives.
