Tsingtao Beer Co Ltd signed a cooperation agreement with the government of Laixi on Sept 29 to settle the headquarters of its health beverage sector in the Laixi Economic Development Zone.

The partnership echos the Qingdao city government’s call for “breakthrough development” of Laixi region, and the project is expected to boost regional industrial growth and influence.

As a internationally renowned beer brand, Tsingtao has entered the markets in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. In recent years, the company decided to conduct high-quality, leapfrog development strategy by better integrating its resources. It has planned three sectors -- joy, health and fashion -- to create an ecosystem in which the beer sector and other product can complement each other.

The joy sector will focus on beers and will optimize its current services. The health sector includes sodas, mineral water and other health beverages, aiming to become a national leader in the drinking water and beverage businesses and further boost the development of the industry.
